ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (Feb. 9, 2012)-- Missing several of its top wrestlers, North Central College placed fourth on Thursday at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championships held at Augustana College.
The Cardinals tallied 38 points in the team standings, placing fourth after fielding athletes in just six of the 10 weight classes while missing the services of nationally-ranked student-athletes

Andrew Zobac.
14th-ranked Elmhurst College repeated as champions, scoring 101 points with host Augustana College second with a team score of 77. Wheaton College was third, accumulating 41 points.
Joby Bodi returned to the top of the podium, besting the field at the 157-pound weight class for the second straight year. The senior toppled Wheaton's Tim Savenok, 16-5, in the semifinals before winning by decision, 5-0, in the finals over Elmhurst's Mike Grice.
Devin Milheim placed second at 165, pinning Wheaton's Peter Huang in the semifinals before falling 16-5 to Augustana's Matt Burns in the championship match.
Securing third place finishes were
Brayan Gonzalez at 133,
Eric Oyster at 149 and Ander Hiller at 174.
The Cardinals return to the mat on Saturday, Feb. 25, heading to Minneapolis, Minn. for the Great Lakes Regional Championships hosted by Augsburg College.
