April 10, 2012—North Central College student-athlete Connor Brown has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Baseball Pitcher of the week for Apr. 2-8.

Brown is the second Cardinal to receive the honor this season, Jon Rashid was named CCIW Pitcher of the Week Mar. 5-11.  Brown scattered seven hits over seven innings pitched while striking out two and walking none, in his first start of the season on Saturday, Apr.7 in a 8-1 victory over Illinois Wesleyan University.

The Cardinals (15-6, 6-2 CCIW) look to sweep the season series against Augustana College on Wednesday, Apr. 11 in the final game of the three game series starting at 3 p.m. inside Zimmerman Stadium.
