	MEQUON, Wis. (Apr. 3, 2012) - The North Central College women's lacrosse team opened Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference play with a victory on Tuesday, building a comfortable early lead and holding on for a 13-6 win at Concordia University Wisconsin.
	
	After allowing the game's initial goal, the Cardinals (3-5, 1-0 MWLC) scored five times in a span of just over five minutes to take the lead for good and extended their advantage throughout the contest.
	
	North Central extended its lead to 9-3 by halftime, then traded goals with the Falcons (1-6, 1-1) throughout the second half. 
	
	Danielle Fiala scored five goals for the second straight game to lead all scorers, while Jacqui Morgan and Mallory Bahr each scored two goals and Jessica Morgan tallied two assists for the Cardinals. Caroline Gully collected four draw controls and goalkeeper Sarah Hon saved 13 shots, including nine in the second half. 
	
	North Central hosts Pacific University (Ore.) on Thursday at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium. Action is scheduled to get under way at 7 p.m.
