Rockford, Ill. (Sept. 4, 2012) - Jake Muszczynski scored four times and the Cardinal defense did not allow a shot in a dominating 7-0 victory at Rockford College on Tuesday afternoon.

Muszczynski started the scoring in the 19
th minute when he punched in a goal from five yards out. Despite having 11 other shots in the period, the teams went to halftime with North Central clinging to a one goal lead.
However, the Cardinals scored early and often in the second half.
T.J. Simmons scored in his third consecutive game with just over two minutes gone by in the second frame. Muszczynski scored his second goal of the game after taking a
Lucas Habeeb pass and banged it home from eight yards out.
Senior defender
Mike Tworek scored his first career goal to give the visitors a 4-0 lead in the 68
th minute. Freshman
Mike Gordon made his North Central career debut a memorable one when he scored on a pass from
Steven Mackey.
Muszczynski scored the final two goals just 17 seconds apart late in the second half to complete the scoring.
It was the second consecutive shutout posted by the Cardinal defense, and the seven goals were the most a Cardinal team has scored since it scored eight goals in its season opener against Eureka College on Aug. 29, 2008.
The Cardinals make their home debut on Saturday when they host Carroll University at 12 pm.
