CHICAGO, Ill. (Oct. 26, 2013)– The North Central College women's soccer team traveled to take on the North Park University Vikings. The first shot of the game was going to be enough for North Park as they defeated North Central 1-0 on Saturday.
Just 5:19 into the game, North Park's Becka Marquez, made the lone goal as North Central would struggle the remaining time to respond back.
Rachael Houp and
Hope Stayer added multiple shots for the Cardinals and goalkeeper
Nicki Seiton blocked off the rest of the shots fired at her from the Vikings to prevent further damage.
North Central tallied up a total of 10 shots; an even five in each half.
The Cardinals will be heading back home for senior day on November 1
st in their final home game of the season. Seniors Houp, Stayer,
Jacqueline Clore, Collen Gebauer,
Mackenzie Wenger,
Katrina McNeela and
Tyra Maher will all be recognized for their commitment to the soccer program.
Kickoff against Illinois Wesleyan University on Nov. 1 will be at 12 p.m.
