WHEATON, Ill. (Oct. 4, 2013)– The North Central College women's soccer team traveled to Wheaton College on Friday to take on the undefeated Thunder, but slipped 2-0.
The Cardinals' (2-7-1, 1-2) took on their No. 1 ranked conference foe with the hopes of defeating Wheaton for the first time in program history. North Central put out a strong first half, tallying up six shots, but came up short with scoring. The Thunder (11-0, 2-0) shot in one goal during the first half, 34:51, into the game by Sydney Sharkey.
Entering the second half, the Cardinals put the pressure on the Thunder gaining possession offensively, but received no results. Wheaton responded with the final goal, 79:37, into the matchup.

Victoria Dunn all added shots for the Cardinals.
The Cardinals will be at Carthage College on Saturday, Oct. 12
th in their fourth conference game of the season with kickoff scheduled at 5 p.m.
