Women's Soccer Falls 2-0 on Senior Day

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Nov. 2, 2013)­– The North Central College women's soccer team celebrated Senior Day at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium as the Cardinals competed in their final game of the season on Saturday. North Central took on their conference competitor Illinois Wesleyan University Titans, but fell 2-0.

With 13:33 into the match, Titian's Allison Segar made the first goal of the game assisted by Tillie Bill. Hope Stayer, Katrina McNeela, Tyra Maher and Rachael Houp added shots for the Cardinals in the first half, but came up short.

In the second half, the Titans were able to snag the ball quickly and score, 45:12, into the game. North Central maintained possession for the majority of the time and tallied up four more shots, but it wasn't enough as the Cardinals weren't able to respond.

Before the game began, the women's soccer program recognized the seniors who have dedicated their time to the team. Stayer, McNeela, Houp, Maher, Jacqueline Clore, Colleen Gebauer, Carolyn Masterton, Mackenzie Wenger and Victoria Dunn were all acknowledge for their hard work and success as a student-athlete.

North Central thanks the seniors for their commitment to the soccer program and dedication to the College.
