DUBUQUE, Iowa (Dec. 14, 2013) – The North Central College women's basketball team was never able to get the ball rolling Saturday afternoon, falling 124-99 at the University of Dubuque.

The Spartans (5-3) jumped out to an early 6-0 lead, highlighted by a pair of baskets by Daneshia Snitker, and would hold the lead the remainder of the contest.

Dubuque opened up its largest lead of the first half, a 26-point advantage with 5:00 minutes remaining before halftime.Â

The Spartans took a 66-48 lead into the intermission, shooting a blistering 68 percent from the field while connecting on 12 of 16 free throws.

North Central shot just 32 percent from the field, including 7 of 29 shooting from three-point range.

The second half was much of the same for the Cardinals (4-3), as the Spartan offense opened up a 39-point lead at one point down the stretch.

Bobbi Johns led the Cardinals with 15 points, while
Uzuri Williams and
Anita Sterling added a career-high 11 points each.

Seven Spartans finished the afternoon in double digit scoring, led by Emily Brinker's 19 points.
