Feb. 12, 2013 – For the third time this season, North Central College student-athlete Nathan Fitzenreider has been named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Wrestler of the Week for the week of Feb. 4-10.

Fitzenreider, currently ranked second nationally at 133 pounds, claimed the individual championship at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational on Feb. 9. In the opening round, Fitzenreider cruised past Eric Nelson of Upper Iowa University by technical fall, 16-1, before pinning Roarke Langer of Augsburg College in a time of 4:14, moving into second in program history on the all-time pins list (40).  In the championship match, Fitzenreider stuck Augsburg's Tossaporn Suparat 1 minute and 4 seconds into the first period.

Fitzenreider has posted a 30-1 record so far this season, his fourth consecutive 30-win season, and currently sits in second-place on the program's all-time victories list, needing just six more wins to tie Gabe Youel '10.

North Central plays host to Wheaton College, Wednesday inside Gregory Arena on Senior Night, in a CCIW dual match beginning at 7 p.m.
