Mar. 12, 2013 – North Central College student-athlete Zac Pacanowski has been honored as College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Hitter of the Week, as well as being named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week.

Pacanowski went 7-for-11 (.636) from the plate over the weekend including three runs scored, two triples, seven RBI and a 1.000 slugging percentage as the Cardinals (3-2) claimed two of three games for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in Jacksonville, Ill.  He finished 3-for-4 with two runs and three RBI during a 21-1 win on Friday, March 8. He then finished 2-for-3 with a walk and three RBI in an 11-4 victory in game one of a doubleheader on Saturday, March 9 before a 2-for-4 performance with one run and one RBI in a 4-3 loss in game two.

Pacanowski is the second Cardinal to be honored as CCIW Player of the Week, joining Ben Krusen who was named conference Pitcher of the Week on Mar. 5.

North Central begins the first leg of its Spring Break trip Mar. 15 that includes stops in Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas, taking on Louisiana College at 6 p.m. in Pineville, La.
