FOREST GROVE, Ore. (Mar. 17, 2013) - The North Central College women's lacrosse team was defeated for the second time on its Spring Break trip to the Pacific Northwest on Sunday, dropping a 13-5 decision to the Pacific University Boxers.

The Cardinals (0-2) surrendered the first five goals of the contest and did not geet on the board until Danielle Fiala scored with 5:09 left in the first half. North Central narrowed the gap to 6-3 when Fiala scored soon after play resumed in the second period, but it was kept out of the net for the next 21 minutes as the Boxers scored another six straight goals to put the contest away.

Fiala caused a team-high four turnovers in addition to her two goals, while Rebecca James totaled seven ground balls and Gina Fisher put up three draw controls as well as one goal and one assist.

Pacific (3-0) got a game-high six goals from Amy Mayhugh, while Carmen Taplin and Kaitlyn Harper each scored three times.

The Cardinals conclude their Spring Break trip on Tuesday, traveling to face Linfield College (Ore.) at 6 p.m. Pacific time.
