Mar. 26, 2013 - The North Central College women's lacrosse team secured its third straight decisive victory on Tuesday, remaining unbeaten in Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference play with a 16-1 rout of visiting Beloit College at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.

The Cardinals (3-2, 2-0 MWLC) have outscored their last three opponents, 51-7, and have a week to prepare for their next outing on Tuesday at Aurora University.

North Central needed only 16 seconds to establish a lead it would not relinquish, as Claire Norfleet scored on a pass from Gina Fisher. The Cardinals built a 4-0 lead before Beloit (2-4, 1-3) tallied its lone goal on a free-position shot by Erin Chambers with 22:51 on the clock.

The hosts countered with five goals in the next seven minutes and wound up taking a 11-1 advantage into halftime before adding on five unanswered scores in the second period.

Danielle Fiala was the game's leading scorer, putting up five goals and tying her own single-game school record with 12 shots. Jacqui Morgan added three goals, while Norfleet recorded six draw controls and Fisher turned in seven ground balls and four caused turnovers.

The Cardinals' game at Aurora will begin at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Aurora's Vago Field.
