Apr. 28, 2013 – The North Central College baseball team was denied in its attempt at a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) series sweep, falling at the hands of Millikin University, 5-3 on Senior Day, Sunday afternoon at Zimmerman Stadium.

The Big Blue (8-20, 2-15 CCIW) responded with four runs in the top of the third on three hits and a Cardinal error, taking a 4-2 advantage.
Each team added a run in the ninth, but Millikin closer Kyle Davidson closed the door in the ninth to earn the save and secure the 5-3 victory.
John Steele earned his first victory of the season for Millikin, tossing 8 1/3 innings giving up two earned runs.
Ben Krusen is credited with the loss on the mound for the Cardinals giving up four runs, one earned, over six innings while striking out five.
North Central returns to action Tuesday, Apr. 30 playing host to the University of Chicago in a non-conference doubleheader. First pitch for game one is slated for 2 p.m.
