May 24, 2013 – North Central College first baseman Kevin Hennessy was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Central Region Third Team on Friday.

Hennessy was one of 17 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) student-athletes honored by the ABCA, the first North Central honoree since the 2010 season.

This season, Hennessy led the team batting .381 while slugging .556.  The senior also led the Cardinals with 29 RBI, 28 runs scored, five homeruns while finishing second on the team in on base percentage (.426), hits (48), total bases (70) and multiple hit games (15).

North Central finished the 2013 season tied for fourth in CCIW play with a record of 10-11, posting an overall record of 18-19.
