The Cardinals (5-3-2, CCIW 2-0) utilized their corner kicks well when midfielder
Noelia Reyes lined it up to midifielder
Rebecca Sneddon who drilled in North Central's first goal to put them on the board.
Entering the second half after a few more close shot attempts, the Vikings (6-7-0, CCIW 1-1) tied it up with a goal of their own. However, forward
Caley Michalak found an opening in the net soon after, off a pass from Reyes to push the Cardinals back up 2-1.
It didn't slow down there as two minutes later, Sneddon charged the net again to gain her second goal of the night with Reyes third assist.
Forward
Caitlyn Orawiec took her stab at it with a hard shot past the goalie pushing the Cardinals ahead 4-1 with an assist from midfielder
Sarah Gaither.
North Park received a lucky opportunity in the final minutes of the game with a penalty kick that was good, making the final score 4-2.
Goalkeeper
Nicki Seiton grabbed seven saves.
North Central will be back in action on Wednesday as they travel to Elmhurst College with game time scheduled at 7:30 p.m.
