2014 All-Central Region Teams

North Central College pitchers Ben Krusen and Kris Singh were honored as American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings NCAA Division III Second Team All-Central Region selections, released Thursday afternoon.
 
Singh and Krusen led a Cardinal pitching staff that posted a team earned run average of 3.33, the second lowest ERA in the history of the program.  The two combined to strikeout 135 of the teams 270 batters this season, good for third all-time, opposed to just 35 walks.
 
Singh finished a perfect 6-0 this season with an ERA of 2.18, striking out 60 batters over nine starts, while earning First Team All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW).  Singh wrapped up his Cardinal career with an ERA of 2.97 to top the program's all-time list.  The senior also entered the career top-ten in innings pitched, sitting fourth with 193.2, as well as ranking fifth in games started (28), eighth in wins (14) and eighth in strikeouts (139).
 
Krusen also posted a career-best six wins this season over 10 starts, striking out a team-high 75 batters over 71 innings pitched with an ERA of 3.17. The junior was a Second Team All-CCIW selection this season, and currently ranks fifth on the program's career strikeout list with 170 career punch outs, needing just 33 to take the all-time lead.  Krusen also sits fifth all-time in career starts (28) and innings pitched (190.1).
