Nov. 17, 2015 –The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) released the recipients of the wrestler of the week award on Tuesday, with Josh Tardy honored alongside Millikin's Chris Williams. 

North Central competed in the Luther College Open on Saturday this past weekend and ended the meet with three Cardinals placing, including a championship finish by senior Tardy.

Josh Tardy highlighted the Cardinals day as he finished the meet with a 1st place finish in the Elite 157 bracket. Tardy would come out with something to prove as he started competition recording a win by a 9-3 decision against Wartburg's Brady Meyer. Tardy would then win his next two matches, a 13-6 decision followed by a win by fall against Coltan Laganiere. Tardy would move onto the championship match, where he would dominate in a 13-3 major decision against Brett Bradford of Rochester Community College. 

Tardy returns to the team after a year of not competing and he has come out strong in his first two meets.

The Cardinals next meet is this Wedneday, Nov. 18 as they host CCIW rival Augustana College. First match is scheduled to start at 7 pm.
