Apr. 15, 2015 – Falling behind early, the North Central College women's lacrosse team was never able to mount a comeback, suffering its first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) loss of the season 15-13 at the hands of Carthage College and snapping a program best eight-game winning streak.
 
The Cardinals (9-2, 3-1 CCIW) trailed early as the Lady Reds (9-4, 3-0 CCIW) jumped out to a 4-2 lead 10 minutes into the contest and never trailed from that point on.
 
North Central drew to within one at the 14:08 mark in the opening half, as Claire Norfleet and Kassie Whaling scored on back-to-back possessions, closing the gap 5-4.
 
Carthage would swing the momentum in its favor to close out the half, scoring the final three goals of the period to take a 8-4 lead into halftime.
 
Opening the second half of play, the Cardinals drew to within two as Whaling and Gina Fisher found the back of the net less than three minutes in to trim the lead 8-6.
 
Two goals would be as close as North Central would come of the lead in the second half as Carthage opened up its largest lead with 8:43 to play as Madison Griffin's third goal of the contest put the Lady Reds up 15-9.
 
Norfleet led the Cardinal attack with five goals and two assists, to go along with seven ground balls and five draw controls.  Fisher added four goals and two assists, as well as seven ground balls and five draw controls.
