May 11, 2015 - North Central College women's lacrosse players Gina Fisher and Rebecca James have been named to the 2015 NCAA Division III All-Great Lakes Region Second Team by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).

Fisher is now a three-time All-Region honoree after also being named to the Second Team in 2013 and 2014. She earned College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Player of the Year honors this season after being named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) Defensive Player of the Year in 2013 and 2014. The Cardinals' leader in goals scored (59), ground balls (83), draw controls (74) and caused turnovers (52) this season, she led the CCIW in goals per game (3.93), caused turnovers per game (3.47) and ground balls per game (5.53), ranking third in the nation among NCAA Division III players in caused turnovers and sixth in ground balls.

She broke her own single-season school record for caused turnovers (48), which she set in 2013, and is also North Central's career record holder for assists (74), ground balls (259), caused turnovers (139) and daw controls (197).

James is now a two-time All-Region selection, having been so honored last season as well. She was voted to the All-CCIW First Team this year after making the MWLC's First Team in 2014. Recording 43 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers this season, she ranked second on the team to Fisher in both categories.

A total of 256 Division III student-athletes received All-Region recognition from the IWLCA and are eligible for selection to the 2015 Division III All-America Team, which will be announced June 6.

North Central finished the 2015 season with an overall record of 10-5 and finished third in the CCIW with an in-conference record of 4-2.
