Chicago, Ill. (Sep. 26, 2015) - The North Central College women's soccer team lost their second game in a row when they fell 1-0 against the University of Chicago Maroons on Saturday afternoon at Stagg Field in Chicago.

The Cardinals (5-3) had their hands full in the first half as the Maroons came out very strong and very physical. Chicago (6-3) put up 15 shots in the first half, yet only one shot on goal, while North Central logged five shots with two being on goal. The Maroons also tallied nine fouls in the period, six more than the visiting Cardinals. Despite that, the North Central defense did not break and headed into halftime tied 0-0.

North Central's defense continued to impress in the second half. Chicago logged more shots on goal and even more fouls but the Cardinal defense kept the contest at a tie for a majority of the period. The Maroons finally broke the tie in the 82^nd minute when Kelsey Moore scored off of a Naomi Pacalin assist. Chicago would hold the lead the rest of the game and seal the victory 1-0.

The Cardinals were outshot by the Maroons 29-7 and 7-3 in shots on goal. Caitlyn Orawiec and Jessica DeJong led the Cardinals in shots with two apiece. Nicki Seiton recorded six saves in the contest.
Chicago's Kelsey Moore, Jenna McKinney, and Mia Calamari led all players with six shots each. Keeper Piper Mik recorded a shutout in the contest.

North Central returns home on Sunday, Sep. 27^th as they take on Rhodes College with game time at 12 pm.
