April. 11, 2016 - North Central College seniors Claire Norfleet and Gina Fisher have been recognized as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for the week on Monday.

Norfleet, named Offensive Player of the Week, helped the Cardinals obtain their  fifth and sixth straight victories in wins over Beloit and Northwestern-St Paul. In a 16-4 win at Beloit on April 6, she had two goals, six assists, four ground balls and four draw controls. Against Northwestern on April 9, she finished with four goals, six assists and six draw controls in a 24-4 win.

Fisher, named Defensive Player of the Week, was also instrumental in the Cardinals two victories, with three goals, three ground balls, four draw controls and on assist against Beloit. Against Northwestern she finished with six goals, five assists, seven ground balls, seven caused turnovers, and five draw controls.

The Cardinals host Aurora University in their next game at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium on Monday, April. 11, with game time at 6:00 pm.
