May. 2, 2016 - North Central College senior Gina Fisher has been recognized as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the week on Monday.

Fisher lead the Cardinals to a pair of conference victories, and helped them secure the No. 3 seed in the CCIW tournament. Against Dubuque on April 27, she had nine ground balls, two caused turnovers and two draw controls in a 17-2 win. On April 30, she added five ground balls, three caused turnovers and one draw control in a 10-9 overtime victory at Carthage, also assisting on Madison Maas' game winning goal.

The Cardinals play at Illinois Wesleyan in their opening game of the CCIW tournament on Wednesday, May 4 at 7:00 P.M. at Tucci Stadium. Click here for live stats and video.
