CCIW All-Conference Women's Soccer Team
Nov. 6, 2017 - The North Central College women's soccer team named a program-record three athletes to the 2017 All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Second Team. The selections were announced on Monday.
Junior
Catherine Kent, sophomore
Lexi Dimovski, and freshman
Anna Brodjian were this season's honorees, each making significant contributions to the Cardinals' success.
Kent, a marketing major, is a two-time All-CCIW selection. She played in all 17 games, starting 16, and led the team in assists with six. She scored one goal this season in the team's victory against Edgewood College on Sept. 9.
Dimovski, an actuarial science major, led the team in goals and points, with nine and 20, respectively. She played in 16 games, starting 13. Dimovski recorded a hat-trick in the team's 3-1 victory over Illinois Institute of Technology on Sept. 12 and two goals in the Cardinals' 2-1 win over Millikin University on Oct. 7. She currently ranks ninth in program history for career points.
Brodjian, a biology major, played in all 17 games, starting 14 and ranked second on the team in goals and points with eight and 17, respectively. She scored the game winner against Augustana College on Oct. 10.
Under the direction of second-year head coach
Andrew Gamarra, the Cardinals (8-8-1, 4-4 CCIW) welcomed 19 new members this season and tied the program record of conference wins in a single season.
