BETHANY, W.V. (Mar. 21, 2017)- Under the cloudy sky, the North Central College men's lacrosse team found the light within freshman
Danny Boyle and sophomore
Tanner James, destroying the Bethany College Bison 21-3 and maintaining its remarkable undefeated status within its inaugural season Tuesday afternoon.

It was clear from the early minutes of the game that North Central (6-0) was going to be a strong force offensively, when freshman
Tommy Huizinga scored the first goal of the game within the first four minutes of play. Just over a minute later, Huizinga looked to freshman
Ethan Hurst and the Cardinal's found their second goal. Not long after, Boyle would feed Hurst and Huizinga their second goals of the game, bringing North Central's lead to 4-0 with five minutes and 45 seconds left in the first quarter.

Bethany looked to get on the scoreboard and scored its first goal before ending the quarter.

North Central continued its scoring crusade in the second quarter with freshman
Noah Parrill connecting with the net. A ground ball from freshman
Chris Ivie, paired with a successful clear attempt for the Cardinals was the mix for success for freshman
Nick Pardo as he earned his first goal of the game. Moreover, a faceoff win from Pardo gave way for Boyle to secure another North Central goal less than 30 seconds later.

Bethany also squeezed in a goal in the second quarter, having the score set at 7-2 at halftime.

The third quarter was all North Central. Boyle scored his third goal of the game meanwhile freshman
Jared Weaver got his first two goals of the game and sophomore
Tanner James collected three. Seven more Cardinals went on to score in the fourth quarter.

Freshmen
Brock Haake and
Michael Pitcher each earned their first goals of the season.

Boyle and James were the driving force of North Central's offense scoring four goals each. Boyle also accumulated three assists and four groundballs. Further, Ivie was solid on defense for the Cardinals with six caused turnovers.

North Central closes out it's road trip tomorrow in Steubenville, Ohio as they face the Franciscan University Barons at 4 p.m. (ET).
