OLIVET, MI (Mar. 21, 2017)- Opening play in the Cutler Events Center, the North Central College men's volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 win over the Olivet College Comets, improving to 12-6 overall.

The Cardinals soared to a 25-19 win in the opening set as the Olivet defense had no answer for the North Central attack allowing the Cardinals to jump to a swift 9-4 lead. Though the Comets found some momentum and battled to bring the score to 11 all. North Central rallied behind a Comet attacking error, and kills from freshmen Jason Eslinger and Brendan Crawford to widen the point gap. A 3-1 run concluding with a kill from freshman Casey Hiller closed out the set.

The offensive invasion continued for the Cardinals in the second set after the teams found themselves deadlocked at 7. North Central reignited it's offense a kill from Crawford and Eslinger, with a kill from sophomore Max Lawrence, as well as a service ace, in combination with two attacking errors. The Cardinals closed out the set with five straight points 25-13.

North Central toppled the Comets 25-19 in the final set. The Cardinals found themselves tied with the Comets again, early in the set, however a kill from Crawford, a kill from sophomore Bozhidar Kolev and a kill from sophomore Raymond Kraus paired with a service ace and two more Eslinger kills, gave North Central the final push they needed offensively.
