May 1, 2017 – Three members of the North Central College women's lacrosse team were honored as part of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) All-Conference Teams on Monday, with senior
Anicia Mattingly being named to the First Team, and junior
Emily Zadny along with freshman
Christina Truver being named to the Second Team.
Mattingly finished the season ranked second overall in caused turnovers (24) for the Cardinals, as well as being second in ground balls, with 36.
Zadny's led the team in assists with 14, to go along with being ranked third in goals with 34, and third in ground balls, collecting 34.
Truver finished with 49 ground balls, which led the team, along with a team-high 33 caused turnovers. Her 33 caused turnovers are also the fifth-highest recorded in a single season in program history. She also had 45 draw controls, leading North Central in that category.
Augustana College's Anne Hopkins was named CCIW Offensive Player of the Year, while Olivia Mayer, also from Augustana, was named CCIW Defensive Player of the Year. Carthage College's Nicole Bowman was named Newcomer of the Year, and CJ Durhman from Augustana was named Coach of the Year.
