BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (Oct. 3, 2018) - Having done so in most of their games this season, the North Central College men's soccer team came out of the gate strong again against Illinois Wesleyan University on Wednesday and never looked back, winning 2-0.

Coming into the game looking for their second College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin win on the season, North Central was led by their veteran members of the team.
Senior Joe Trocki got the Cardinals started quickly, scoring his fifth goal of the 2018 campaign during the fourth minute of the game. Both Gavin Sanchez and Alexis Flores assisted, for Sanchez his fourth assist and for Flores his third.

The Cardinals were not to be stopped again in the 25th minute, with Flores this time finding the back of the net and scoring off an assist from Spencer Wiese and Austin Lombardi. Flores now has eight goals on the season, averaging one per contest thus far.

The game was a stalemate for the rest of the half and the rest of regulation, with only two more shots on goal for the remainder. The Titans (8-2-0, 1-1 CCIW) shot 15 times during the game, with only one of those shots being on goal, while the Cardinals had four shots on goal on 14 total shots.

The Cardinals (7-3, 2-1 CCIW) are off to their best start through 10 games since 2012 as they travel to take on Carroll University on Saturday in another College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin matchup.
