Nov. 13, 2018 - North Central College men's wrestling senior Danny Harris has been selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Wrestler of the Week, announced Tuesday.

Harris went 5-0 last week, scoring a win against a 2018 NCAA qualifier in the process. At the Trine Invitational on Saturday, he scored four of those victories, recording a tech fall and a pin in the first two rounds before taking down NCAA qualifier Tyler Grimsley of Olivet in the semifinal with a 3-2 decision. He went on to win by way of pin in the final at 1:56. Harris was a big contributor in final team score that saw North Central win with 149.5 points.

Harris also won his match on Tuesday of last week in the Cardinal's dual against Hannibal-LaGrange University. This is the first time in Harris' career that he has won the award.

Harris and the Cardinals travel to Augustana College on Wednesday to take on the Vikings in their first CCIW dual match of the season.
