Mar. 12, 2018 - For the second straight week, North Central College women's lacrosse player
Christina Truver is one of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Players of the Week. After being named the conference's Defensive Player of the Week for Feb. 26-Mar. 4, Truver is the CCIW's Offensive Player of the Week for Mar. 5-11. The CCIW announced its most recent Player of the Week selections on Monday.
Truver was selected after helping the Cardinals improve to a perfect 4-0 for the season with a 16-2 victory over Benedictine University and an 18-8 win over Concordia University Wisconsin. Truver shared the team lead in goals scored for the week (6) while handing out a team-high four assists. She also contributed eight draw controls and five ground balls while causing three turnovers.
Truver leads North Central with six assists and 10 caused turnovers so far this season while ranking second in goals (11), draw controls (20) and ground balls (17).
The Cardinals host Indiana Institute of Technology on Friday at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium, with play scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
