COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Mar. 19, 2018) - Improving to 6-0 for the first time in the program's 10-year history, the North Central College women's lacrosse team staged a furious second-half rally and took down Hamline University (Minnesota), 15-10, at Colorado College on Monday.

The Cardinals trailed, 7-5, at halftime before opening the second period with six unanswered goals to take the lead for good against a Hamline team which qualified for last season's NCAA Division III Tournament.

North Central faced a 6-3 deficit late in the first half before getting consecutive goals from Addie Records and Mynk Richardson-Clerk. Hamline's Brayden Maass scored on a free-position shot, however, with 1:41 to play to give the Pipers a two-goal lead at the break. Records fed Nelle Scranton for a goal soon after play resumed, and Christina Truver tied the score with 24:21 to play in the contest.

Truver scored again on an assist by Records to give the Cardinals the lead, and Grace Steiner scored the game's next three goals to put North Central firmly in control. Hamline's Radian Lenz broke up the run by scoring with 18:44 to play, but Records, Richardson-Clerk and Jessica Deetjen scored in succession to put the contest out of reach.

Steiner led all scorers with four goals on eight shots, while Truver found the net three times and Records contributed three assists. Deetjen secured four draw controls while Truver grabbed six ground balls and Rebecca Claussen and Annabelle Steiner each totaled three of North Central's 17 caused turnovers. Camille Seghesio entered the game at goalkeeper late in the first half and was credited with the win, saving nine shots on goal.

The Cardinals take on Colorado College (6-3), also a participant in last year's national tournament, on Wednesday with play scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. Mountain time.
