Apr. 24, 2018 – North Central College starting pitcher
Charlie Klemm was named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday, the third such honor for the Cardinal baseball team this season.
Klemm tossed a complete-game, four-hit shutout over Carthage College on Apr. 21, making a first-inning sacrifice fly hold up en route to a 1-0 victory in game one of the doubleheader. Klemm struck out five batters while surrendering just one walk, improving to 4-1 on the season.
Fellow freshman
Rob Marinec was named CCIW Hitter of the Week on Feb. 27, while
Michael Mateja earned the award on Mar. 27.
