Apr. 25, 2018 – The North Central College men's lacrosse team took command of Wednesday evening's College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) game against conference rival the University of Dubuque (7-8, 1-4 CCIW), scoring early and often to come out on top in a 19-4 win at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.

The Cardinals jumped ahead with an early 3-0 lead thanks to a pair of goals by Noah Parrill and a tally from Tanner James. The Spartans responded with a goal from Ben Gallagher, but the Cardinals went into halftime with a 12-2 lead with goals from Nick Pardo and Jared Weaver, as well as Chris Ivie's first career goal off of a win at the faceoff at the end of the first period.

Parrill started the scoring off for North Central coming out of the locker room before Dubuque's leading scorer Michael Jango added a goal for the Spartans at the 11:22 mark on a man-up opportunity. But it was the Cardinals that would take control of the game from there on out as Weaver, James, Parrill, and Tommy Huizinga contributed goals to put the game out of reach for Dubuque and remain undefeated at home.

Parrill led the team with a new single-game high seven goals and tallied ten total points. James had six goals and Weaver added three while Jacob Ray led the Cardinals with eight ground balls. John Fitzgerald and Danny Boyle each came up with two caused turnovers and Dylan Cost had another stellar night in goal with 11 saves.

North Central (7-9, 2-3 CCIW) hosts Carthage College on Saturday, Apr. 28 at 1 p.m for the final game of the regular season. A link to live in-game coverage can be found HERE, including a live broadcast by NCTV.
