2018 All-CCIW Women's Lacrosse Teams

Apr. 30, 2018 - In recognition of its success this season, the North Central College women's lacrosse team has been honored with four selections to the 2018 All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Teams on Monday, as nominated and voted upon by the CCIW's seven head coaches.

Midfielder Christina Truver was named to the All-CCIW First Team, while defender Rebecca Claussen, attacker Addie Records and goalkeeper Camille Seghesio were selected to the Second Team. North Central's total of four honorees matches the most it has ever had in a single season.

Truver, a Second Team All-CCIW pick a season ago, has put up 44 goals and 17 assists this season while leading the Cardinals in ground balls (62) and caused turnovers (34) and establishing a new North Central single-season record with 118 draw controls. She ranks first in the CCIW and 25th nationally among NCAA Division III players in draw controls per game (6.94) and established a new single-game school record for draw controls with 13 on Mar. 21 at Colorado College. Truver matched her record draw-control total on Apr. 21 against the University of Dubuque.

Claussen has caused 25 turnovers this season, second on the team and seventh in the Cardinals' history, while also collecting 36 ground balls. Records leads North Central with 50 goals and 32 assists this season, ranking third in the CCIW in assists per game (1.88), while Seghesio has posted a goals-against average of 8.06 and a CCIW-best save percentage of .551. Seghesio saved 18 shots in the Cardinals' regular-season finale at Carroll University on Saturday, setting a new North Central single-game record.

North Central (15-2) hosts Carthage College (12-5) in the semifinal round of the CCIW Tournament on Wednesday. Competition at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium is set to get under way at 7:00 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on Naperville Community Television, Channel 17 and nctv17.com
