EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Sept. 14, 2018) – On day one of the Sandy Schumacher Memorial Tournament hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the North Central College women's volleyball team came out on the wrong end of a 3-0 decision, falling to Lakeland University inside the McPhee Center.
The Cardinal offense struggled from the opening set and never recovered, hitting -.036 in the first set en route to a 25-9 defeat, while Lakeland went on to win the final two sets by scores of 25-14 and 25-15, respectively.
North Central (1-7) finished the match with 18 kills to 20 errors, hitting -.024, while Lakeland finished the match hitting .338, recording 31 kills to just seven errors.
Kaitlyn Boelter-Eberhardt led North Central with nine kills, while no other Cardinal finished with more than three.
Kiarah Horn handed out 10 assists, while
Kaylee Allensworth added 11 digs on defense.
