2019 Brissman-Lundeen Men's Results
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (Oct. 4, 2019) – With its top runners in Louisville for the weekend's Pre-National race, the North Central College men's cross country team's partial squad carved out a fifth-place finish at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational, hosted by Augustana College Friday at Saukie Golf Course.
Zach Michael turned in an impressive ninth-place performance, clocking a time of 25 minutes and 39.3 seconds.
Jackson Swisher was next through the line with a time of 26:33.4, followed by
Jonah Penningroth in 47th (26:34.3).
Drew Guimond (26:48.7) and
Tim Bertulis (26:49.3) finished together in 54th and 55th, respectively.
Stuart Todd-Middleditch finished in 26:59.4 for 65th, with
Michael Conkright (27:04) close behind in 69th to round out the team's top-seven.
University of Chicago's Ryan Cutter won the 8,000-meter run with a time of 24:59.2. Behind him, the Maroons swept the top-five places for a perfect score to win the meet, followed by the University of Illinois Cross Country with 114 points, the hosts Vikings in third with 154 points and Carroll University in fourth (158 points). The Cardinals totaled 173 points in their fifth-place finish.
North Central's top group competes in the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic Pre-Nationals race on Oct. 5, with a 10:45 a.m. ET start time.
