2019 Women's Soccer CCIWÂ All-Conference Teams
Nov. 13, 2019 - After a season that saw them advance to the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) semifinal and establish a new program record for number of conference wins in a single season, the North Central College women's soccer team has three selections on the 2019 CCIW All-Conference Team, headlined by sophomore
Aly Crum on the first team.
The three selections ties the program record for number of selections in a single season, as the Cardinals also had three selections back in 2017.
Crum was the lone Cardinal to make the first team as she was third in the conference in goals scored with eight, also ranking fourth in points with 19. She went on a tear through the second half of the season, scoring three goals and adding an assist in her final two CCIWÂ match-ups. This is Crum's first time being selected to the All-Conference squad.
Two Cardinals appeared on the second team as well, with goalkeeper
Madison Lockard and midfielder
Allyson Viederis being selected. Lockard finished an outstanding season, compiling a 9-8-1 record in goal. She ranked second in total saves (113) and fifth in goals against average (1.047). She recorded five shutouts on the season, ranking second in the CCIW, with three of those coming against CCIW opponents. Viederis was an integral part of the midfield attack for the Cardinals while also contributing greatly on defense. She scored three goals on the season while adding two assists, ranking tied for third in both of those categories on the team. She also was on the field for all five shutouts of the season for the Cardinals.
The Cardinals ended 2019 with a 9-9-1 record and now look forward to 2020, where a majority of their starting squad and all three All-Conference selections should return to the starting line-up.
