March 15, 2019 – The North Central College men's lacrosse team wasted no time jumping ahead to an early 11-0 lead at the half en route to a 18-1 domination against the La Roche College Redhawks (2-8) on Friday afternoon, maintaining a perfect 5-0 record.

North Central capitalized on a complete team effort across the board, with seven of the first 11 goals coming from assists. Tommy Huizinga, Jared Weaver, Tanner James, Noah Parrill, Jacob Ray, Matt Sheinfeld, and Steven Faux all scored in the first half for the Cardinals with Faux, Parrill, Huizinga, Sheinfeld, and Ray all lending a hand with assists. North Central's defense also scooped up 21 ground balls in the opening 30-minutes.

The Redhawks struggled to maintain possession of the ball, but managed the team's lone goal halfway through the third period. In the end, North Central rattled off four more goals in the final 20 minutes to secure the win.

Faux, Huizinga, Sheinfeld, and Weaver each scored three times and Weaver and Parrill had three assists. Faux also led the team with 10 ground balls and shared a team-high five caused turnovers with Sean Tomonari. Zayne Hartz saw his first nearly-full game in goal, making six saves and was credited with the win.

The Cardinals (5-0) travel to the University of Dallas on Tuesday for the first of two games on the team's Spring Break trip. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m. and a link to live in-game coverage can be found HERE.
