DALLAS, Texas (Mar. 19, 2019) – The North Central College men's lacrosse team took no mercy on the University of Dallas Crusaders (2-6) on Tuesday evening and celebrated a 20-5 victory while improving to 6-0, one of the best starts in program history.

North Central scored the first three goals of the game, first with Tommy Huizinga finding the back of the net just over two minutes into the contest and Noah Parrill and Jared Weaver scoring in the opening five minutes. The Crusaders halted the Cardinals momentum with a goal at the nine minute mark, and although it took North Central the remainder of the period to score, Weaver connected with Huizinga for his second goal of the day fifteen seconds before the first horn.

Weaver hit Matt Sheinfeld in the first minute of the second period to give the sophomore his frst goal of the game, but Dallas' Joseph Kilmer tacked on another one for the opponents, cutting the lead 5-2. Any momentum the Crusaders thought they had was quickly diminished as North Central controlled the scoreboard for the remainder of the half and nearly ten minutes into the third period, scoring eight goals to pull ahead, 12-2. Dallas could only muster two more goals in the second half while the Cardinals added eight more for the win.

Parrill had a team-high five goals while Weaver added a career-best eight assists. Bailey Hurd had an incredible game defensively, scooping up 10 ground balls while Sean Tomonari and John Fitzgerald came up with seven each. Zayne Hartz played the majority of the game, coming in right before halftime, and made eight saves on 17 shots faced.
North Central (6-0) finishes up their Spring Break trip with a game at Southwestern University on Thursday, Mar. 21. Game time is set for 7 p.m. and links to live in-game coverage can be found HERE.
