LAKE BLUFF, Ill. (Mar. 29, 2019) – In the final road match of the regular season, the North Central College women's tennis team was upended 7-2 at Lake Forest College on Friday inside the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff.
 
North Central (12-6) fell behind 2-1 after doubles play, as Lake Forest (15-3) claimed the No. 2 and No. 3 positions before Hannah Hougland and Alaina Kanthaphixay fought out a hard earned 8-6 victory over Julie Lord and Leeza Bodnar at the No. 1 spot.
 
In singles play, the Foresters took five of the six positions as Hougland was the lone Cardinal to earn a win, taking down Allison Watts in comeback fashion 4-6, 7-5, 10-8.
 
Null until April 7, North Central hosts a pair of matches at Nike Park against St. Norbert College (Wisconsin) at 9 a.m., followed by Saint Mary's College (Indiana) in the afternoon.
