CCIW Week 2 Players of the Week

March 4, 2019 - North Central College women's lacrosse freshman Mary Pinkowski has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin player of the week following the Cardinals two wins during the past week.

Pinkowski started off her North Central College career by causing three turnovers in an 8-7 Cardinals win against St. Mary's College (Ind.) Feb. 27. In that game, she also picked up four ground balls. She followed up her first game with a just as impressive second game in a 16-9 win against Hope College on Saturday. The freshman mimicked her stats, causing three turnovers and picking up four ground balls again. She is currently tied for first in turnovers caused with six and is second in ground balls with eight on the season.

Pinkowski and the Cardinals take the field again on Saturday, March 7 against Kalamazoo College at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium. Game time is set for 1 pm, click HERE for live stats.
