IWLCA Division III All-Regional Selections

May, 20, 2019 - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association (IWLCA) has honored North Central College women's lacrosse midfielder Christina Truver by selecting the junior to the Division III Great Lakes All-Region Second Team, announced Monday.

Truver completed an impressive season for the Cardinals, leading the team in ground balls (111), draw controls (118), and turnovers caused (53). Truver's ground balls per game average of 6.17 not only led the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) but led the nation for Division III. Truver was ranked second in the conference in draw controls per game (6.56) as well as caused turnovers per game (2.94) on her way to receiving her first ever CCIW Defensive Player of the Year award and being named first team all-conference. This is Truver's first time receiving the award and the sixth time a Cardinal has received the honor in program history.

As a team, the Cardinals finished the season with a 14-4 record, going 5-2 within the CCIW. They advanced to the conference tournament where they ultimately fell to University of Chicago by a 17-10 final.
