2019 ITA All-Academic Teams and Scholar Athletes

July 18, 2019 –
Three North Central College men's tennis players were recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) as Scholar Athletes for the 2018-19 season, marking the third-straight season North Central has been represented.

To qualify for ITA Scholar Athlete recognition, student-athletes must earn a varsity letter, have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 and have been enrolled at their present institution for at least two semesters.  Tyler Bussell and Victor Krueger earned the award for the third-straight season, while Lucas Pindak earns his second-straight honor by the ITA.

A total of 27 student-athletes have now earned the distinction in the history of the program, while Bussell and Krueger become just the third and fourth players to earn the award three-straight seasons.

The Cardinals open the 2019-20 season at the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Fall Tournament held Sept. 14-15, hosted by Carthage College at Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
