OLIVET, Mich. (Sept. 15, 2019) - Playing their second away game in three days, the North Central College women's soccer could not find the back of the net on Sunday against Olivet College, ending up on the wrong side of a 2-0 shutout.
Despite shooting the ball six more times than Olivet, the Cardinals could only manage five shots on goal, but Olivet goalkeeper Brooklyn Holley played an outstanding game, saving all five shots and thwarting each Cardinal opportunity.
The Comets split their goals between the two halves, scoring in the 36th minute and adding an insurance goal in the 86th minute to put the game away for good.
Madison Lockard dropped to 4-2-1 in goal on the season for the Cardinals while saving five of the seven shots on goal from the Comets.
The Cardinals (4-2-1) look to bounce back against no. 23 University of Chicago at home on Tuesday. Click
