2020 All-CCIW Women's Basketball Teams
Feb. 25, 2020 – North Central College sophomore guard
Allison Pearson has been named to the 2020 All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Basketball Team, announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Selected to the Second Team, Pearson earns her first career All-Conference nod and the first under head coach
Maggie McCloskey-Bax. She is the 28
th individual in program history to be named to the All-Conference squad, while the Cardinals have produced 43 total selections since 1987.
Pearson started all 16 games in conference play this season, leading the Cardinals averaging 12.3 points per game, good for eighth amongst individual scorers, while ranking sixth in the conference shooting 39.2 percent from three-point range.
Pearson also led all players in CCIW play shooting 92.5 percent (49-of-53) from the free throw line, as no other play finished conference play shooting above 90 percent from the line.
Wheaton College's Hannah Frazier was named Lori Kerans Most Outstanding Player in the conference for the second-straight season, while Wheaton head coach Kent Madsen was named Beth Baker Coach of the Year for the second-consecutive year as well.
North Central (11-14, 7-9 CCIW) clinched the sixth and final seed in the CCIW Tournament, qualifying for the fifth time in program history (2009, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2020) and the first time under McCloskey-Bax.
The Cardinals will travel to third-seeded North Park University tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 25 with tip-off inside North Park Gymnasium scheduled for 7 p.m. Links to live in-game coverage are available
