WALLA WALLA, WASH. (Mar. 2, 2020) -Â Dominating in nearly all facets of the contest, the North Central College women's lacrosse team crushed Whitman College in their first of three spring break games on the week, winning 17-6.

The Cardinals were unstoppable in the beginning of the contest, going up 10-1 to open the game.
Abbey Triebe scored three times during the run, while
Jessica Deetjen added two of her own.

Looking like the game was already out of reach, Whitman added three goals to end the period with the Cardinals adding one more to make the halftime score 11-4.

The action slowed in the second half but the outcomes did not, as North Central was able to add six-straight goals to open the final half of play. With the game all but over, Whitman added two more goals before the final horn rang to make the final 17-6 in favor of the Cardinals.

Deetjen and Triebe tied for the team lead in goals with four a piece, while
Christina Truver added three of her own. Truver also added five draw controls while
Rebecca Claussen recorded three caused turnovers.

Abigail Widd won her second game on the season, saving five shots and allowing seven goals.
