2020 CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams

John Carmody and
Charlie Klemm are among 89 NCAA Division III players nationwide to be voted to this year's College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Teams, recognizing both academic and athletic achievements.
To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must carry a minimum grade-point average of 3.3 and have achieved at least sophomore academic and athletic standing. All-District selections were voted upon by CoSIDA's membership, which consists of sports information and athletics communication professionals at collegiate institutions throughout the United States and Canada.
Over his four years as a Cardinal, Carmody ranks in the top-10 in multiple categories in program history. The all-time leader in hit by pitches (33), Carmody also ranks third in sacrifice flies (10), sixth in homeruns (18), seventh in at-bats (545), ninth in total bases (259) and 10
th in runs batted in (115).
Starting in every game in each of the last three seasons, Carmody was a Second Team All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) selection and was named to the D3baseball.com College World Series All-Tournament Team in 2017.
The reigning CCIW Pitcher of the Year, Klemm was also named First Team All-Conference in 2019 and a Fourth Team All-American by D3baseball.com.
Klemm's 2019 season was one for the record books, tying the program record with a perfect 9-0 record while his 84 strikeouts ranked second in a single season. Klemm also ranks sixth all-time in wins (16) and ninth in strikeouts (140), while his two career shutouts are tied for seventh.
The two All-District selections push North Central's total to 61 achieved by student-athletes, and are the fifth and sixth representations from the baseball program. Carmody and Klemm are now eligible for selection to CoSIDA's Academic All-America Team, which will be announced in June.
