Naperville, Ill. (Oct 13th, 2021) - North Central College women's soccer team falls to 3-1 in conference play and 8-5-1 overall in a tough home loss to conference rival Illinois Wesleyan University.

The Cardinals were outshoot by the Titans nine to three in the first half, but were able to keep Wesleyan off the board despite the difference in shots during the first half of play.

After both teams went scoreless during the first half of play both offenses ramped their play up for the second half.

First, Illinois Wesleyan's Maggie Peters scored from over 30 yards out, just around the 68th minute mark. Not too long after the Titans would find the back of the net again as Erin Peck scored a header off a pass from Heather Dietrich.

The Cardinals wouldn't go silent into the night as precision passing from Olivia Hurt to Kaitlyn Cannon helped set up Erin Jaskierski for North Central's first goal of the game. (Watch goal from Twitter HERE.)

Shortly, after the goal by Jaskierski. The Cardinal offense went on the attack again as Elle Sutter helped push the ball up field and just missed the equalizer over the net in the 83rd minute of play.

The Cardinals fall to 8-5-1 (3-1-0) on the season and return to action October 16th as they travel to Chicago, Illinois to take on the Vikings of North Park University. Game is set to start at 5:00 pm.
