Kenosha, Wis. (Oct 2nd, 2021) - Playing in their second conference game of the year, the North Central women's soccer team defeated the Carthage College Firebirds 3-0 to remain undefeated in conference play. 

The Cardinal offense dominated in the first half of play, but had only one goal to show for it. The goal came from Elle Sutter in the 35th minute of play to give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. During the first half the women's soccer team was able to get nine shots off on goal compared to Carthage's three.

More offensive action came in the second half, as the Cardinals added two more goals to increase their lead over the Firebirds. Kaitlyn Cannon received a pass from Elle Sutter to find the back of the net to make it 2-0 in the 65th minute. In the 75th minute of play Kily Egan scored a goal off a penalty kick to make it 3-0.

Riley Lindsey faced five shots and made three saves in her third career start. This was also Lindsey's second career shutout.

Sutter leads the team in goals with six goals on the season and in points with 11. 

The Cardinals improve to 7-4-1 (2-0-0) on the season and return to action Wednesday night as they host Augustana College at 7pm.
