Decatur, Ill. (Oct 23th, 2021) - Traveling to Millikin University to take on the Big Blue, the North Central College women's soccer team struggled offensively and lost 2-0.

Maddy Wood got the home crowd on their feet early in the game as she received a pass from Amanda Noser to put the Big Blue up early in the game 1-0 in the 4th minute of play. Right before the end of half, Grace Hadican scored from a pass from Faith Marinier and Hannah Henson to bring the lead to 2-0 Big Blue.

Although North Central trailed at the end of the first half, it was not for the lack of trying. The Cardinals out shot Millikin ten to three and forced the Big Blue goalkeeper Hope Limoges seven saves. 

In the second half, North Central continued to struggle offensively to put a goal in the back of the net. The Cardinals out shot the Big Blue 18 to three in the second half and 28 to 6 overall. 

Sarah Andrey had four shots on goal, while Kaitlyn Cannon, Olivia Hurt, and Kily Egan all had two each.


The Cardinals fall to 9-5-1 overall and 4-2 in conference play on the season and return to action October 27th as they travel to Wheaton, Illinois to take on the Wheaton College Thunder. Game is set to start at 7pm.
