CCIW Release 

Feb. 9, 2021 -  North Central's Rafael Roman picked as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Wrestler of the Week on Tuesday, after dominating all 3 of his matches this past Friday. 

Roman, a senior from Glen Carbon, Illinois and Edwardsville High School, went 3-0 at 165 pounds during the Carthage Duals on Saturday. In his first match of the day against Wheaton's Stephen Watson, he won with a technical fall (15-0), then in his next match against Carthage's Collin Ruiz with another technical fall (17-1), and lastly defeating MSOE's Hunter Huddleston with another technical fall (21-4). 

Roman and North Central Cardinals (8-0, 8-0 CCIW) will travel to Rock Island, Illinois for the CCIW championships Feb. 13th.
